Pay: This position has a hiring range of $38 - $63.3 (as listed on the posting)
Type: Full-time / Part-time / Per diem — Rotating shifts (in-person)

What You’ll Do:

• Strong focus on professional growth, evidence-based practice, and team-based care within a major health system.

Potential Trade-offs:
• Rotating shifts may affect work–life balance.
• If hired with an ADN, you must enroll in a BSN program within 6 months and complete it within 3 years.

Would you take this job? Why or why not?

Did med-surg with “rotating shifts”; ask about clustered nights and ratios. Also confirm weekend requirements and GUH parking — shadow first?

@OP I’d ask whether C6-2 takes tele overflow and if there’s a monitor tech, plus who draws labs on nights (phlebotomy vs RN) and what the float expectations are. On my last med-surg floor, having a true resource/charge who covered breaks and an IV team after hours kept the wheels from falling off — rotating shifts can feel like jet lag without the vacation. If differentials and tuition benefits are solid at GUH, I’d consider it, but I’d want clarity on break relief and sitter/lift support first.

Quick tip, @OP: ask if C6-2’s charge is “no patient assignment” on nights and whether there’s a dedicated admit/resource nurse. I took a job where charge carried two patients and admits piled up; never again, even with a solid $38–$63 range. If charge is free and there’s backup, I’d say yes.
