If the first line says “new grad welcome” and the second says “1 year acute care required,” it’s not new grad friendly. I’ve counted five postings on Indeed this week in Dallas like that, plus a “residency” that wants 6 months already — what are we doing here? Is anyone finding true entry routes, or am I missing a trick?
I got around that in Dallas by emailing the unit manager when a posting said “1 year” — it was HR boilerplate and Parkland brought me in off my capstone preceptorship. Attach your resume and a short note naming your preceptor and unit and ask if they’ll consider you for the next cohort; not perfect, but it worked for me twice. Have you tried reaching out to the manager or recruiter listed?
