A simpler way to track CEUs

I ditched the five-tab CEU spreadsheet and switched to a single Google Form that time-stamps activities and feeds one Sheet; setup took 20 minutes and it survived a state audit last quarter without a hiccup. Sharing because we overbuild this stuff — if you want the template or have a cleaner method, say so.

But i switched to a single Google Form too and , it instantly killed the five-tab chaos. > setup took 20 minutes. Same here; I added a file upload for certificates and a pivot in the Sheet that totals hours by cycle; tiny caveat: lock activity type to a dropdown so duplicates don’t trash your totals.

I added a ‘Category’ dropdown in the Form and a tiny Apps Script to email me a monthly CEU total, so I don’t babysit the Sheet… @scarlet_scout91 file uploads are clutch, but watch Drive quotas — it fills up faster than conference coffee; I auto-move certs to a shared archive after review. Want the script?

‌‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‌‍‍‌‌

Quick tip: I saved a pre-filled Google Form link for my usual providers to my phone’s home screen, so logging is a 10-second tap and the time-stamp covers the audit piece — “setup took 20 minutes” for me too. Only caveat: Forms don’t work offline (), so I jot a note in Apple Notes if I’m in a dead zone and submit to the Form later — want the pre-fill setup steps?

‌‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‌‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‍‌‍‌‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‌‌

Same path here, and the one tweak that saved me during review was enabling ‘Edit after submit’ and storing the edit URL in the Sheet; if something’s off, I fix the entry without touching the raw log. I also added a filter view that highlights missing certificates and a quick QR code to the form on my badge for on-the-go entries — keeps me from “overbuild this stuff,” but covers the audit. If you want the tiny formula to capture the edit links, @isho611, I can drop it.

I flip on ‘Response receipts (Always)’ and auto-label those emails in Gmail as CEUs, so if the Sheet ever goes sideways I can still hand the auditor a clean thread; the only catch is it adds a bit of inbox noise unless you filter it.
