Why do we overlook soft skills

I just noticed that many job listings focus heavily on technical skills, yet soft skills seem to get overlooked. In my experience as a hiring manager, things like communication and teamwork often make or break a candidate’s success in a role. Why do you think we still prioritize the hard skills so much more?
