Using a simple checklist for post-op care

I’ve started using a plain checklist in the post-op unit to streamline care and ensure nothing gets overlooked, especially for discharge readiness. It really helps keep everyone on the same page during handoffs. Who else has tried incorporating tools like this, and what’s worked for you?

Using a checklist has definitely made a difference for us too! We started focusing on key areas of discharge readiness, similar to what you mentioned. It’s all about making sure every detail is covered before patients leave.

I love that you’re using a checklist for discharge readiness! We’ve found color-coding sections helps, too. Have you noticed any pushback from staff on using it?
