Printed the CDC isolation quick reference (2024) and taped it by our Pyxis on nights — saved me at 03:10 when I blanked on RSV vs flu; anyone else?
I stuck a small QR label next to our Pyxis that links to CDC’s isolation appendix so anyone can scan and verify updates on the spot — https://www.cdc.gov/infectioncontrol/guidelines/isolation/index.html. Only caveat: Wi‑Fi flakes sometimes, so I date‑stamp the laminated printout; @JennaRN do you color‑code RSV/flu on yours?
On our unit I shrank the CDC quick ref to a pocket card and laminated a few, and we add a tiny ‘Updated: MM/YY’ sticker so it doesn’t turn into a fossil at 0300. @shift.mentor312 the QR is clutch — pair it with that update date on the label so folks trust it; do you review it monthly?
