Supporting patients through chemotherapy

I’ve noticed that many patients struggle emotionally during their chemotherapy treatments. It can be so tough to navigate those feelings while dealing with side effects. If anyone has tips or resources on effective ways to offer emotional support, I’d love to hear them. I recently started using a simple mindfulness app with a few patients, and it seems to help them cope a bit better.

Mindfulness apps can be a game changer! I’ve seen patients bloom when I introduced them to guided imagery sessions, especially when they’re feeling overwhelmed. It’s not just about distraction but helping them find inner calm. A simple audio track of nature sounds often does wonders too.

It’s amazing how a little distraction can make a big difference! I once brought some art supplies to a session, and one patient created a beautiful piece that helped them express their feelings… Just a little creativity can go a long way, like they say, ‘Art is therapy for the soul!’.
