Sticky fix for loose webcam sliders

The cheap ones kept popping off my laptop frame, so I warmed the area with a hairdryer for about 10 seconds and laid a strip of washi tape under the slider before sticking it — hasn’t budged in 3 months. Anyone have a tidier way that still costs under $5?

I fixed the “popping off” by using a tiny sliver of 3M VHB (thin gray tape): wipe the bezel with isopropyl, press 30–60s, then let it sit 24h — clean look and still under $5 if you buy a small strip. Caveat: it’s more permanent than washi, so test placement and avoid sensors. Is your bezel smooth plastic or that slightly textured finish?
