Keeping Up with Health Screening Changes

I just attended a webinar about the new guidelines for student health screenings. It seems they’re prioritizing mental health assessments now more than ever. Has anyone else noticed a shift in how we’re discussing these screenings with students? I’m trying to compile some quick tips for getting through them efficiently.

It’s true that mental health is finally getting the spotlight it deserves! I’ve found that using open-ended questions during screenings really helps students feel more at ease. What specific tips are you thinking of compiling? I’d love to share ideas.

I’ve found that incorporating a brief mindfulness exercise at the start of the screening really helps set a calm tone for students. It’s amazing how much more open they are afterward. What kinds of strategies are you considering for your tips?
