Badge reels that don’t snap mid-shift

A few of you mentioned Key-Bak reels in another thread, and I’m curious how they hold up on nights. My cheap reel broke twice last week pulling a scanner at 0300 on med-surg — looking for something that survives 12s and constant Sani-Cloth wipes without shredding my scrub pocket.

I’ve run a Key-Bak Super48 with the “Kevlar cord + locking belt clip” on nights for a year — clip it to your waistband, not the scrub pocket, and it holds up to Sani-Cloth without chewing fabric; just skip the steel cable and the heavy-pull spring unless you want the scanner to ricochet.
