Are we still ignoring mental health in nursing

I just noticed how little we talk about mental health support for nurses, even though it’s crucial… During my last shift, a colleague broke down after a particularly tough case, and it made me wonder why we don’t have more resources available for emotional well-being. Why do we do it that way?

It’s so important we normalize these conversations. I’ve found that regular debriefs after tough shifts can really help us process what we’ve been through. Have you tried anything like that?
